Chief Executive Officer
Ken brings Symphony over 15 years of experience growing and scaling major B2B enterprise businesses from early stages to high-performing, mature organizations. He previously served as the Chief Customer Officer and VP of Product at Medallia, a global leader in big data/customer experience management. Ken was an early member of the team at Financial Engines, where he held the roles of VP Product, EVP Marketing, and GM. He was instrumental in leading the company to a successful IPO in 2010 (FNGN). Prior experience also includes time with the US Navy, and as an associate with Goldman Sachs. Kens holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and MS in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from Stanford, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Harish co-founded Symphony Commerce to provide commerce infrastructure as a managed service so brands can focus on what they love — products and customer relationships. Prior to Symphony, Harish was Chief Product Officer for Lulu.com, where he drove product development and revenues for the world’s largest independent author marketplace. Harish founded Ugenie.com, a next generation ratings and review platform plus recommendation engine, ultimately acquired by Lulu.com. Before Ugenie, Harish was at Amazon where he engineered the fulfillment and shopping cart systems and was also the product lead for space and order fulfillment optimization, which included the first Harry Potter book release. Harish began his career architecting demand planning and supply chain planning for retail enterprises at i2 Technologies. He holds a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology, a MS in Operations Research from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, and an MBA from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Henry Kim co-founded Symphony with a deep understanding of the retail sector and vision for delivering a commerce platform that would enable brands to significantly grow their brand.com businesses. Prior to founding Symphony, Henry was a Principal with the Yucaipa Global Opportunities Fund (YGOF), an investment firm focused on retail investments in China and Korea, where he led investment opportunities in the retail and media sectors. Prior to YGOF, Henry was an investment professional with The Yucaipa Companies, a private equity fund focused on fashion, retail and supermarket investments. Henry was also a Financial Analyst in the retail M&A/Financial Sponsors group at Morgan Stanley. Henry graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Bowdoin College with a BA in Economics, and earned an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
Vice President, Engineering and Fulfillment
As the VP of Engineering and Fulfillment, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge about designing and building software and product systems to emphasize efficiency, affordability, and convenience for consumers. Robert spent eight years at Amazon as Senior Manager for Supply Chain Software, devising, building, and staffing a team of 50 to implement the technology that helped move all goods through the warehouses. He later designed and built similar systems for the San Francisco startup Good Eggs, as its VP of Software Development, and as the VP of Product and Engineering at FlightCar (later acquired by Mercedes Benz). Robert got his BS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, and he spent four years with GE’s elite Information Technology Leadership Program, where he learned best practices on running global enterprise tech projects.
Head of Finance
Brian is a data-driven analytics leader who brings over 10 years of experience in retail, ecommerce, and technology/SaaS to his role at Symphony. Prior to joining the team, he was the Head of Finance and Analytics at BigCommerce, where he helped scale the company to over 500 employees with $80M in new venture funding. He worked for 8 years as a finance and operations leader at Amazon, where he was instrumental in developing strategy, launching, and growing several new lines of business that contributed to 8x growth over 3 years for Amazon Prime. Brian has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science and an MBA in Operations Management from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Vice President, Customer Success
Jeff is a trusted advisor and leader with extensive experience helping organizations drive change through digital transformation. Most recently, he led Global Strategy Consulting and Success Services at Lithium Technologies, a leader in social customer engagement. At Lithium, Jeff led the formulation of services and solutions that helped their customers drive millions of dollars in operational savings and revenue generation. Prior to Lithium, Jeff held roles as VP of Product Marketing and VP of SaaS Consulting and Customer Care at Oracle Corporation where he helped lead the customer transition from on-premise products to cloud-hosted solutions. He also led the first SaaS services teams at Siebel Systems and Concur Technologies. Jeff’s specialty is scaling global capabilities at early-stage companies. He’s built consulting, support, training and success teams at three enterprise B2B startups prior to Symphony; all were successfully acquired. Jeff has a BA in Political Science from Stanford University.
